At 2.30 Wednesday afternoon Mr. Henry Edgar Dempsie, of Williamsburg, and Miss Leah Catherine Dickson, of McAlevy's Fort, Huntingdon county, were united in marriage by Rev. E. E. Harter at the Methodist Episcopal church parsonage on Wayne street. They were accompanied by Mrs. Grace Strobert and Mrs. Marion Williams, of Altoona, aunts of the groom. Mr. Dempsie just recently received his honorable discharge from the army at Camp Lee and is now an employee of the West Va. Pulp and Paper company, of Williamsburg. Mrs. Dempsie is one of Huntingdon county's most popular young women. After a wedding trip they will reside in Williamsburg. Altoona Tribune, Thursday, February 20, 1919, page 4
