At a quarter of 8 o'clock yesterday evening a quiet wedding took place at the parsonage of St. James' German Evangelical Lutheran church, the officiating clergyman being Rev. H. J. H. Lemcke, the pastor. The contracting parties were Mr. James P. Douglass and Miss Rose S. Vetter. The groom is a machinist by trade and is employed by the railroad company. The bride is a daughter of Mr. Peter Vetter, the retired baker, and a sister of Mr. Max Vetter, the popular Eleventh avenue baker. Mr. and Mrs. Douglas did not go away on a wedding tour, but went immediately to housekeeping in their new home at Broad and Twenty-fourth streets. They are an estimable young couple and worthy of the good wishes of their many friends. The TRIBUNE extends congratulations. Morning Tribune, Altoona, Pa., Thursday, December 4, 1890
