Downing, of the clerical force in the office of Mr. C. P. Worthington, clerk of motive power, and Miss Anna W. Snyder, the estimable daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jacob Snyder, 1123 Thirteenth avenue, were married Wednesday evening at the residence of the bride's parents. The ceremony was performed by Rev. J. B. Shaver, pastor of the First Methodist Episcopal church, assisted by Rev. James Curns, of Huntingdon. There were present a number of relatives and friends of the contracting parties, Williamsport, Buffalo, Allegheny City and Huntingdon being represented among the guests. The collation which followed was admirably prepared. The bride was the recipient of a large number of handsome as well as valuable and useful presents. On Philadelphia express Mr. and Mrs. Downing departed on a tour of the eastern cities, accompanied by the good wishes of their numerous friends. Altoona Tribune, March 7, 1889 Note: Thos. K.
