All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/pa/blair/ _______________________________________________ NEWRY An event of more than usual importance to the contracting parties and their friends, occurred on Wednesday evening, when Revere Duganne, son of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Duganne, of South Bedford street, and Miss Martha Wilt, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Wilt, of Poplar Run, were united in marriage by Rev. F. H. Schrader, pastor of the Lutheran church. Mr. Duganne is one of the town's most promising young men, and holds a responsible position with the Pennsylvania railroad, at Altoona. His brode [sic] is a young lady of intelligence, of pleasing manners and affable address, and well calculated to perform the duties of a wife. Mr. Duganne's fellow workmen came out in large numbers from Altoona, and with the aid of the townspeople, gave the young couple an old fashioned charivari. After a short honey moon they will go to housekeeping in Altoona. Altoona Times, Altoona, Pa., Friday Morning, October 18, 1918 DUNCANSVILLE A very quiet wedding was held at the home of Mr. and Mrs. E. G. Wilt, on Wednesday evening, when their only daughter Martha Wilt was united in marriage to Rev. Dugan of Newry, by Rev. F. H. Schrader, pastor of the Lutheran church at Newry. The ring ceremony was used, only the immediate familys [sic] were present. After the ceremony Mr. and Mrs. Dugan left for a wedding trip, to Niagria [sic] Falls, Baltimore and Harrisburg, both parties are well known young people and a host of friends wish them success in their new life.
