Captain John Robert Dunkel, of Company G, Tenth regiment, Pennsylvania National Guard, and Miss Bessie May Bauseman, of Toms Brook, Va., were united in marriage at 10:30 o'clock Monday morning at the parsonage of the First Methodist Episcopal church, by the pastor, Rev. Edgar R. Heckman. The couple were unattended. Their marriage came as an absolute surprise to their friends and relatives. Mr. Dunkel's mother, Mrs. Mary Dunkel, of 2734 Sixth avenue, was unaware that the ceremony had taken place until several hours afterward. The couple left at noon for a wedding trip to western cities. Before returning they will visit at Toms Brook. Miss Bauseman had for some time been a resident of Hollidaysburg. The marriage of Captain Dunkel is the fourth for Company G men since the return of the organization from the Mexican border several weeks ago.
