All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/pa/blair/ _______________________________________________ ECKHARD - RUSSELL Mr. William Bruce Eckhard, of 2810 Walnut Avenue, Altoona, and Miss Mary Russell, of this place, were united in marriage at 8:30 Christmas morning at the parsonage of the First Church of the Brethren, Altoona, by the pastor, Rev. W. S. Long. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Frank M. Russell, of this place, and is one of our well known and highly esteemed young ladies. The groom is a son of Mrs. Emma Eckhard of Baker's Summit, and is employed as a shipping clerk by the Altoona Baking Company. After the ceremony they left for a wedding trip which included Washington, D.C., Arlington, Mt. Vernon and Alexandria, Va.; Baltimore Md.; Wilmington, Del.; Philadelphia and Harrisburg. Since their return they are at home to their friends at the home of the bride's parents, Mr. and Mrs. F. M. Russell, and will later make their home in Altoona. On New Year's Day Mr. and Mrs. Russell entertained the following guests at a reception and dinner in honor of Mr. and Mrs. Eckhard: Mrs. Emma Eckhard, Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Eckhard and son Donald and Mr. Earnest Miller, all of Baker's Summit; Mr. and Mrs. J. D. Russel of Altoona, Misses Leanore Stern, of Oak Grove, and Sadie Detwiler, of Roaring Spring, Mr. Melvin Glass of Millerstown, Mrs. Mary Wineland, Mrs. Hannah Puderbaugh, Mrs. Margaret Kyler, Mrs. Harvey Frye, Vesta Wineland, Elizabeth Russell, Mr. and Mrs. W.
