Friends and relatives gathered to witness the services at 5.30 p.m. Sunday, June 21, when Miss Mary Margaret Hart, eldest daughter of Mr. Martin Hart of 321 Vernon Place, Brooklyn, N.Y., became the bride of Corporal Joseph F. Ertle, son of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Ertl of 1533 Second avenue, Altoona. The ceremony was performed in St. John the Baptist Catholic church with Father McCauley officiating at the rites. Traditional wedding music was presented by the church organist. The bride, given in marriage by her father, wore a white dress of embroidered organdy with full skirt, long train and long pointed sleeves. Her full-length veil of bridal illusion net depended from a crown of orange blossoms. Her old-fashioned bouquet was of white roses. Miss Anne Hart, sister of the bride, was maid of honor and wore a pink gown of marquisette. Her shoulder-length veil of pink illusion depended from a crown of blue and pink flowers. She carried pink roses. The bridesmaids were Misses Anne Huranne and Cecilia Ruvane, cousins of the bride, and Margaret Campbell and Gertrude Hand. They all wore sister dresses of blue marquisette with blue veils of shoulder-length and carried pink roses. Mr. George Wissinger of Washington, D.C., formerly of Altoona, was best man and the ushers included Messrs. John and Martin Hart, jr., brothers of the bride, Joseph O'Leary and Stephen Huranne, cousin of the bride. A reception was held at the bride's home with 300 guests present after which the couple left for a trip to Thousand Islands and other points in upstate New York. The bride wore a red and white going-away suit with a corsage of vari-colored roses. Guests attending from out-of-town included the parents of the bridegroom, his sisters, Mrs. Joan Kensinger of Altoona, and Mrs. Mary Frances Stephenson and daughter Joan Constance of Erie, Pa., and Private Neuman Woolery, stationed at Fort Ethan Allen, Vt., formerly of Philadelphia.
