EDS. TRIBUNE: The topic uppermost in the mind of Sinking Valley's peaceful inhabitants for some time past, started from the residence of Mr. Kiper, near the brick church, and was nothing less than the leading of one of his fair daughters to hymen's altar by Emory G. Fleck, on Thursday evening, November 25. Many friends were invited, who generally responded in person, with hearts lips and hands tuned to the occasion, as was manifest by the outflow of soul and the great number of useful and valuable presents with which the happy pair were remembered. Glassware predominated, while silver, linen, wood, brass and iron were there. Each one received more than they brought, which was evident when the dining room door was opened. Here Uncle Davy, and his friend from the Arch, made themselves prominent and useful as waiters, to which duties they attended well and which positions --- them, since they were attending --- gentlemen and ladies. They having considerable capacity for such occasions, became quite uneasy when those at the first table seemed to enjoy their situation, which --- expressed itself frequently so as to be heard by all in the room, "I wish they would get done, I am so hungry." Let me advise you hereafter, for your stomach's sake, not to fast more than two days prior to such feasts. Their fellow feeling left them when they secured seats at the second table, where they seemed satisfied to spend at least the remainder of the night. All passed off pleasantly. The bride's attire was beautiful. We will not attempt a description because we cannot, and our better half who is generally better adapted to this part of the programme was not there: hence no resource from which to draw. The father of the bride is entirely blind, having lost his sight during the last summer. He seemed cheerful and satisfied to hear and speak to his friends and know of their welfare. - H.
