A very pretty wedding occurred at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Benjamin Swoope, of Garver street, at 11 o'clock Christmas morning, when their attractive and accomplished daughter, Miss Florence Alice, was united in marriage with Alfonso Myers Fluke, of Pittsburg. The beautiful ring ceremony was used by Rev. E. L. Eslinger, the officiating clergyman. The bride who was unattended, wore a beautiful gown of silk and lace, and carried a large bouquet of La France roses. The groom appeared in conventional black. Mr. Alfonso Fluke is the younger son of Mr. and Mrs. J. G. Fluke, of Bloomfield street and holds the responsible position of assistant to the chief clerk of the Monongehelia [sic] connecting railroad of Pittsburg. Both young people have a large circle of friends here who join us in wishing them all joy and sunshine on their voyage over the matrimonial sea. Mr. and Mrs. Fluke left for Pittsburg Monday afternoon, where they will immediately establish their new home. Altoona Tribune, Altoona, Pa., Wednesday Morning, December 27, 1916
