A Notable Wedding Party at Tipton on Tuesday Evening. Our Bellwood correspondent says: It is seldom that Tipton is the scene of so pleasant a social event as occurred at the home of Mrs. Susan Beyer last evening. It was the occasion of the marriage of her youngest daughter, Miss Anna, to Leonard Fouss, of Bellwood. The evening was just cool enough for comfort. The cosy residence had been transformed into a bower of floral beauty and fragrance. At the appointed hour the sweet strains of the wedding march floated from the skillful fingers of Miss May Waring, of Tyrone, and the bridal party appeared. The bride was attended by Miss Florence Eckert, of Altoona, and W. G. Miller, of Huntingdon, played the part of best man to the groom. As the party arranged themselves in the midst of the flowers, Rev. S. D. Wilson stepped forward and spoke the words of the marriage ceremony according to the ritual of the Methodist Episcopal church. The ceremony was followed by the congratulations of more than eighty guests, who by and by sat down to the sumptuous wedding dinner served by C. M. Waple, of the Tyrone hotel, and his corps of accomplished caterers. The bride was attired in pure white, and instead of the usual bouquet carried a satin Bible. The bridesmaid wore white over pink. The groom and groomsman wore the conventional black. The appearance of the whole party was fine, but, of course, the fair bride was the center of attraction, and never to the eyes of her friends had she looked lovelier. For the past twelve years she has been organist in the Methodist church at Tipton and closely identified with all the religious as well as social doings of that village. She will be greatly missed by a host of friends there - but her life among them has been a preparation that will enable her to grace the home over which she is to preside. The groom is a member of the firm of Fouss Brothers, and has for some years been in charge of their business in Bellwood, where he is well known and highly respected as an energetic business man and a thorough gentleman. Into their new life they carry with them the good wishes of a large circle of acquaintances, and the bride has also many substantial tokens of the esteem of her many friends. The happy couple will at once go to housekeeping in Bellwood in the house on North Fourth street, lately furnished for occupancy, where they will be at home to their friends.
