A very pretty wedding was quietly solemnized in the First Lutheran church at 5:30 o'clock Saturday evening, when Mr. Jay Clyde Furry and Miss Helen Ruth Romberger were united in marriage by the pastor of the church, Rev. Marion Justus Kline. The bridal couple were attended by Miss Grace M. Leaper of Altoona, and Mr. J. G. Stewart, cashier of the State bank at Enterprise, Pa. The ring ceremony of the Lutheran church was used. The immediate families of the bride and groom and ten intimate friends of long standing witnessed the ceremony. The bride is the second daughter of Mr. and Mrs. B. W. Romberger of 2301 Seventh avenue. The groom is the son of Mr. D. B. Furry and is a clerk in the motive power department of the P. R. R. Mr. and Mrs. Furry left on the 6:28 train for eastern cities. They will visit Brooklyn, the native place of the groom, and Baltimore, the native home of the bride, where they will be entertained by relatives. In their return to Altoona they will be at home to their friends at 2301 Seventh avenue. Altoona Mirror, Sunday, December 31, 1912, page 12
