GABLE - SPEACHT

  Miss Marion Marie Speacht, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Speacht of 
Pinecroft, became the bride of Mr. George Lewis Gable, jr., son of Mr. 
and Mrs. Gable of Wehnwood, Friday, Sept. 4 at 12 noon at Cumberland, 
Md.  The ring ceremony was performed.  The bride was attired in black 
with white accessories.  The bridegroom wore his uniform of the United 
States army.  A wedding supper was held at the home of the bride's 
parents.  Members of the immediate family attended.  Mr. Gable was 
formerly employed by the Pennsylvania Railroad company but was inducted 
into the army, May 4, 1942.  The wedding was solemnized during his 
eight-day furlough.  For the present the bride will remain at her home 
while the bridegroom has returned to Fort Knox, Ky.
