WEDDED LAST EVENING.

Mr. John F. Gearhart and Miss Mary E. Poole Happily Married.

  Mr. John F. Gearhart and Miss Mary E. Poole were quietly married last evening 
at the residence of the bride's parents, 324 Third avenue, by Rev. Joseph F. 
Hartman, pastor of the Second Lutheran church.  None but the immediate families 
of the contracting parties were present.  After a brief season of 
congratulation, refreshments were served.  The young people will not take a 
wedding trip, but will reside for the present at the bride's home.
  The groom is an employe of the Altoona Burial Case company and is a well 
known and much respected young man.  The bride has been for some time a member 
of the Second Lutheran church choir and is a young lady of many winning 
attainments.  The young people received a large number of presents, useful and 
beautiful, from their friends.
