The Presbyterian manse was the scene of a happy wedding last evening, when Miss Laura Marjorie Meredith, the accomplished daughter of Mr. and Mrs. David H. Meredith, of West Sixteenth street, became the bride of Westley Gehering, the Rev. Scafe performing the beautiful ring ceremony. The immediate family and a small circle of friends were in attendance. Following the ceremony the wedding party were taken to the bride's home, where a delicious wedding dinner was served. The groom recently returned from active military service overseas, and was formerly employed by the Banquet Ice Cream company at Tyrone. The bride was one of the efficient employees of the Wilson Chemical company. Following the wedding dinner the happy couple left on a late train for an extensive wedding tour through western cities. This sterling young couple have a host of friends who are wishing them every success and happiness throughout the journey of life. Mr. and Mrs. Gehering will take up their residence in Johnstown, where the groom holds a responsible position as foreman in a large creamery. Altoona Tribune, Friday Morning, March 21, 1919
