Last evening at the home of the bride's mother, Mrs. Lucinda Bartlebaugh, 126 Sixth avenue, occurred the marriage of Mr. Laurence S. Geist, of Pittsburg, and Miss Edith L. Bartlebaugh. It was 8.30 o'clock when the strains of pretty selection from Beethoven pealed forth under the skillful touch of the bride's sister, L. Esther McNoldy. The ceremony was performed by the Rev. William Williamson, pastor of the First United Brethren church. Only the immediate relatives of the bride and bridegroom were present. The bride was given away y her brother, Mr. Harry E. Bartlebaugh. The groom was attended by Mr. W. H. McNoldy. The bride is the second daughter of the family, is known and highly esteemed by many in the city, having serve acceptably for some time as a teacher in the public schools of Altoona. She is a lady of both intelligence and refinement, and is in every way fitted for the responsible and honored station which she has been called upon to fill. The groom is a rising young business man of Pittsburg and is exemplary in conduct, of amiable disposition and character, and will endeavor to provide well for all the comforts of his newly acquired home. Following the ceremony a delightful wedding supper was served, after which Mr. and Mrs. Geist departed for an extended wedding tour. After spending some time in Canada and touring the lakes they will return to Pittsburg and make their residence in the East End, in their pretty new house, which has been neatly and elegantly furnished for their reception.
