An interesting event was witnessed at 8 o'clock last evening (Wednesday, 23d) at the residence of professor H. A. Heverly, 2209 Fourth avenue, when Miss Mattie J. Lee, sister of Mrs. Heverly, was united in marriage with Professor A. C. Haley, assistant principal of the Fairview schools. The bridal couple, attended by Mr. W. B. and Miss Carrie Lee, brother and sister of the bride, entered the parlor to the strains of the wedding march, played by Miss Irene Heverly, and the ceremony was performed by Rev. G. M. Hoke. The marriage was witnessed by immediate friends who immediately accompanied the newly wedded pair to the table to partake of refreshments. Mr. and Mrs. Haley will spend a few days at Irvona and Utahville, Clearfield county, and will return to Altoona on next Tuesday, after which they will be at home to their friends at their residence, 2304 Seventh avenue. The bride received many presents, both useful and ornamental. Morning Tribune, Altoona, Pa., Thursday, August 24, 1899 1900 Altoona Ward 8, Blair County census - Armstrong C. Haley, 34 Mattie J.
