William Samuel Hammond, jr., and Miss Jeanne Margaret Ebert were quietly married last evening at the home of the bride, 2003 West Chestnut avenue. The ceremony knitting the young people in wedlock was performed by Rev. J. S. James at 8.30 o'clock, and was witnessed by the immediate relatives and friends of the contracting parties. James Hammond, brother of the groom, was best man, and Miss Florence Ebert was maid of honor. The bride is a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jon Ebert and is a young lady who has a host of friends in the city, who will wish her unalloyed happiness in her new relations. For several terms the bride was a teacher in the public schools of the city and was very successful in this work. The groom is the eldest son of Mr. and Mrs. W. S. Hammond, 2523 Broad avenue, and is a young man of excellent qualities. He holds a responsible position in Denver, Col., being manager of the western territory of the Consolidated Car Heating company. After the ceremony the guests partook of a wedding supper, after which Mr. and Mrs. Hammond left on St. Louis express for Denver, in which city they will make their home. Altoona Times, July 3, 1903
