All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/pa/blair/ _________________________________________ MISS SLUTZKER IS CHICAGOAN'S BRIDE Nuptials of Popular Altoona Girl Solemnized at Logan House Miss Pearl Slutzker, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Harry Slutzker, of 1219 Fourteenth avenue, was wedded to Mr. Robert Jacob Hart, a prominent young business man of Chicago, at the Logan house at 6 o'clock last evening, when one of the most fashionable weddings of the season occurred. Only the immediate families witnessed the ceremony, which was performed by Rabbi M. J. S. Abels, of the Hebrew Reformed congregation, a reception followed at which 200 guests from this city, Philadelphia, New York and Chicago were in attendance. Miss Slutzker was attended by Misses Rosalie Neuwahl and Florine Myers, bridesmaids. Mrs. Joseph Slutzker, matron-of-honor, and Miss Betty Bing, as flower girl. The bride was gowned in white tulle over silver cloth and wore a tulle veil trimmed in orange blossoms and point lace. The bridesmaids and matron-of-honor were attired in pink and silver velvet gowns and carried pink feather fans, the gifts of the bride. Pink and white roses were borne by the flower-girl. Mr. Walter Hart, brother of the groom, was best man, and another brother, Mr. Edward Hart, and a cousin, Mr. Abraham Hart and Mr. Jacob Marx, were the groomsmen, with Mr. Joseph Slutzker, brother of the bride. At the conclusion of the ceremony, the bridal party were served with dinner in the private dining-room, and at 9 o'clock the informal reception opened. Pink and blue were the prevailing color notes in the table and other decorations, and a charming effect was attained. Music for the reception was furnished by Miss Hoover's orchestra and a luncheon was served at midnight. Among the guests were Mr. and Mrs. Harry Hart, Mr. and Mrs. Max Hart, and Mrs. Minnie Hart, mother of the bridegroom, all of Chicago; Mr. and Mrs. Fisher Lewine, Mr. and Mrs. S. Lewine and Mr. and Mrs. A. Lewine, and Mr. and Mrs. H. Neumark, all of New York city; Mr. and Mrs. Julius Hirsh, Philadelphia, and others from Johnstown, Huntingdon and Hollidaysburg. Mr. and Mrs. G. W. Creighton, Mr. and Mrs. J. T. Wallis, Mr. and Mrs. N. W. Smith, Mr. and Mrs. R. K. Reading and other prominent Pennsy officials and their wives were numbered among the Altoona guests. After the reception, Mr. Hart and his bride departed on an eastern honeymoon and on their return will reside in the Windy City, where the former is engaged in the wholesale clothing business. His relatives are identified with the Hart, Schaffner & Marx clothing house, of Chicago, the head of the firm being one of the guests last evening.
