Hauser of New Kensington, Pa., son of Mr. and Mrs. Percy Hauser of 1417 Twelfth street, and Miss Roberta E. Schallock, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. F. J. Shallock of 8248 Ridgeland avenue, Chicago, were united in marriage Saturday morning, August 8, at 11:30 o'clock in St. John's Methodist church, Seventy-fourth and Jeffery Streets, Chicago, with Rev. Almer Pennewell, officiating. The maid of honor was Miss Wilhelmina Zimmerman and the best man was John Wilson of Chicago, a former resident of New Kensington. The ushers were Kenwood Hauter and Allen Hauter, cousins of the bridegroom. The church organist presided at the organ while Miss Sara Leonard sang "Because" and "For You Alone." The beautiful ring ceremony of the Methodist church was used, the bride being given in marriage by her father. The bride was lovely in a gown of white organdy, a large white hat and carried a bouquet of white roses and baby's breath. A large number of relatives and friends witnessed the ceremony. After the wedding, a reception was held at the Southmoor hotel, Chicago, following which the newly-married couple departed on the steamer North America for a tour of the Great lakes. Before coming east they will spend a week in Michigan with relatives of the bride. Mr. Hauser is a graduate of the Altoona High school and of Pennsylvania State college and is now employed in the development division of the Aluminum Company of America at New Kensington. The bride is a graduate of a Chicago High school and the University of Chicago and has many accomplishments. Upon the conclusion of their honeymoon Mr. and Mrs. Hauser will go to New Kensington where they will take up housekeeping in a newly furnished apartment. Altoona Mirror, Friday, August 14, 1936
