MISS PAULINE CLARK.
Maryland Girl to Wed Former Altoona Man

  Mr. and Mrs. F. Paul Clark of Silver Spring. Md., announce the engagement of 
their daughter, Miss Pauline Louise Clark, to Mr. James Earl Helsel, jr., son of 
Mr. and Mrs. J. E. Helsel, also of Silver Spring, Md., but formerly of Altoona. 
The wedding will take place in the late summer.
  The bride-elect, who is better known as Polly, attended National Park college 
and is a graduate of Chevy Chase Junior college. Mr. Helsel was educated in 
Pennsylvania schools. During the war he was with the army ordnance and later was 
a staff assistant with the applied physics laboratory of Johns Hopkins 
university. He is now affiliated with the Automotive Equipment company of 
Washington, D. C.
