A pretty double wedding was solemnized last evening at 6.30 o'clock at the parsonage of the Simpson Methodist church, Sixth avenue and Twenty-third street, the pastor, Rev. J. Emory Weeks, uniting in marriage Mr. G. Roy Hepner and Miss Myrtle Mierley, and Mr. John Ellis Bruckman and Miss Edna Dillon Lamca. Mr. Hepner and Miss Mierley were first united in marriage, having as their bridesmaid and best man the principals in the second wedding. Mr. and Mrs. Hepner then acted as attendants. Immediately after the ceremony the couples were tendered wedding dinners, Mr. and Mrs. Hepner being welcomed at the Mierley home, 1208 Twenty-first avenue, while Mr. and Mrs. Bruckman were tendered a dinner at the Lamca home, 1017 Twenty-second avenue. The newlyweds left late last evening on a wedding trip. The quartet of young people are well known and highly popular in the city, having a wide host of friends. Miss Mierley resided at 1208 Twenty-first avenue and until recently was employed as a clerk in the Victrola department in the Rothert store. Her husband is a son of Mr. and Mrs. George D. Hepner of 2303 Sixth avenue and he learned the barber trade with his father, being employed for the last few years at the Figard shop on Twelfth street. Miss Lamca resides at 1017 Twenty-second avenue and was formerly employed as a clerk. Mr. Bruckman is a clerk for the Pennsy and resided at 823 Second avenue.
