Hicks of 3032 Fifth avenue, South Altoona and Miss Elsie May Buzzard of Williamsport, were married at 8 o'clock last evening at the home of the bridegroom's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Harry Hicks. The ceremony was performed by Justice of the Peace W. B. Fickes of Logan township. Mr. and Mrs. William Baum, the latter a sister of Mr. Hicks, attended the couple. The bride wore a brown traveling suit and carried a shower bouquet of roses. The bridesmaid wore a brown coat-suit. The bridegroom is a boilermaker employed by the Pennsy of South Altoona, while his bride, a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Buzzard, is an accomplished young woman of many graces. Following the ceremony, the newlyweds departed on a wedding trip will embrace Williamsport, Harrisburg, Philadelphia and other points to the east. Upon their return they will reside temporarily with the bridegroom's parents. The callithumpian band of South Altoona gave the newlyweds a fine serenade before their departure, and as Squire Hicks stood on the front porch introducing them to the crown, Mr. Whipple, a truck driver for the Ensign Oil company, appeared on the scene, and with the aid of several others kidnapped the pair, taking them on a ride over the principal streets of the suburb. This is the second member of the Hicks family to be united in marriage by Mr. Fickes. Mr. and Mrs. Baum, the attendants at this evening's wedding, having been married by him eighteenth months ago.
