Married at the manse of the Indiana, Presbyterian church, Knox county, Ind., October 12, at noon R. J. Hillis, M.D. and Miss May E. Knox, both of Altoona, Pa. The marriage took place at the home of the bride's sister, Mrs. Hooke, wife of the Rev. B. H. Hooke. The ceremony was performed by Rev. George Knox, pastor of the Presbyterian church, of Vincennes, Ind., father of the bride, assisted by Rev. Hooke. The wedding march was played by Miss Orry Owens. Helen Knox and Edna Lingle accompanied by Sam and Gaylord Knox, little nieces and nephews of the bride, preceded them, strewing flowers as they entered the parlor. S. T. Knox, of Altoona, and Miss Elizabeth Knox, of Vincennes, were the attendants. The manse was beautifully decorated with autumn leaves, flowers and mistletoe for the occasion. Only relatives of the bride were present. Among the guests were S. T. Knox, of Altoona, and Mrs. B. S. Lingle, of Cherokee, Iowa. After the ceremony had been performed and congratulations extended a wedding dinner was serviced. Dr. and Mrs. Hillis will take a protracted tour to Chicago, up to Detroit through the lakes, up the St. Lawrence to Toronto, down the Hudson to New York, and thence to Altoona where they will be at home to their many friends at 2430 Broad avenue until the beautiful new home which the doctor is erecting in Juniata is completed.
