All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/pa/blair/ _______________________________________________ HORNER - DODSON The St. Patrick's Catholic church rectory in Newry, was the scene of a pretty summer wedding July 24, when Miss Patricia Joan Dodson, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Dodson of East Freedom, became the bride of Eugene Horner, son of Mr. and Mrs. George Horner of Roaring Spring. Rev. Father Francis Ackerman officiated. The bride was charming in a light blue dress with navy blue accessories and orchid corsage. Mrs. John I. Dodson, sister-in-law of the bride was her matron of honor. She chose a cocoa brown suit dress with green accessories and a corsage of yellow roses. John I. Dodson, brother of the bride was best man. A reception for members of the family and friends was held at the home of the bride immediately following the ceremony. The couple left for a wedding trip to the New England states after which they will be at home to their friends at the home of the bride's parents. The bride is a graduate of Roaring Spring High school, class of 1945 and is employed at the pajama factory at Hollidaysburg. The bridegroom is also a graduate of Roaring Spring High school, class of 1944, and is employed at Horner's service station in Roaring Spring. Altoona Mirror, Thursday, August 5, 1948, page 3
