The following wedding notice from The New Era, Lancaster. Professor J. Allen Hunter, teacher of Latin, Greek and Psychology at the Millersville Normal School, was united in marriage to Miss Minnie F. Gilliland, of Roaring Spring, Pa., who was graduated in the class of 1909 at the Millersville Normal School, at the Zion's Reformed Church parsonage, at Millersville, on Thursday afternoon at 3.30 o'clock, by Rev. George A. Whitmore. Miss Gilliland received her Normal School diploma this year after having completed two years of very successful teaching as Principal of the Clearville schools. Professor Hunter, A. M., Ph.D., was graduated from the Tyrone High school in 1898, and the Millersville Normal School in 1906, having taught at the latter place for a year previous to his graduation. Later, he received his degree, Ph.D., from Pennsylvania State College. He completed a course at Kansas City University in 1908, and after spending one year at Yale returned to Millersville to teach. After an extended trip Professor and Mrs. Hunter will return to Tyrone to visit relatives of the former. Professor Hunter will probably accept a position as teacher either in New Jersey or Massachusetts during the coming school year. Mr. and Mrs. Hunter will spend their honeymoon abroad.
