JOHNSTON - LANDIS.

  Mr. Charles Foster Johnston, of South Lakemont and Miss Essie V. Landis, 
daughter of Mr. and Mrs. R. S. Landis, of Llyswen, were married at 8:30 
o'clock yesterday morning at the Llyswen Presbyterian church, by the pastor, 
Rev. R. L. Hallet.  A wedding breakfast at the bride's home was served 
following the ceremony.  The couple left at noon for a wedding trip to 
Buffalo and other northern points.  Mr. Johnston is employed as a pass clerk 
in the office of Master Mechanic J. C. Mengle, of the Altoona machine shops.
