Charles, 412 Eighth avenue, was the scene of a pretty and stylish wedding at 7 o'clock Thursday evening, January 15, the occasion being the marriage of their beautiful and accomplished daughter, Mary V., and Mr. Louis V. Jones, of Philipsburg, Centre county, Pa. The bride wore a handsome gown of rich cream satin and grenadine and carried in her hand a hugh [huge] boquet of long-stemmed roses. Her only ornaments were a tasty necklace and diamond ring. The ceremony was performed by the Rev. R. H. Colburn, pastor of the Fifth Avenue Methodist Episcopal church, in the presence of a large company of invited guests from Philipsburg, Tyrone, this city and other places. The bride was the recipient of many valuable presents. The groom is an excellent young man of fine personal appearance and is to be congratulated on his happy choice of a companion. An elaborate supper, amid a profusion of flowers and smilax, table decorations, was served immediately after congratulations were over, at the conclusion of which Mr. and Mrs. Jones, followed by the best wishes of their many friends, left on a late train for an extended trip to eastern cities.
