The solemn, but very pretty ring ceremony was performed in the presence of a number of intimate friends of the happy young couple, after which a sumptuous wedding dinner was served. Miss Pearl Cowner, pianist at the United Brethren church, was maid of honor, while Oscar Harris, bookkeeper at the Home Electric Light office, was best man. This morning the bride and groom left for points down east, where they will spend their honeymoon, after which they will return to Tyrone and make their home. Both young people are well and favorably known in Tyrone and are active workers in the United Brethren church. They have a large circle of friends who join with the Herald in wishing them a life full of joy and prosperity. Tyrone Daily Herald, Wednesday, December 27, 1916
