At 4 o'clock on Thursday afternoon, October 30, Rev. T. F. Reese, pastor of the Lutheran church, spoke the words which united in the holy bonds of matrimony Mr. Felty Lawfer, of Duncansville, and Miss Blanche Wertz, of West Loop. The attendants were Mr. David Wertz, brother of the bride, and Miss Jennie Mountain. After the ceremony was performed the bridal party returned to the home of the bride's parents, where after congratulations were extended by quite a number of invited guests all partook of a well-prepared supper. The groom is a sober industrious young man and the bride is a daughter of Jacob B. Wertz. Mrs. Lawfer was the recipient of many handsome and useful presents. They will go to housekeeping in the near future at Duncansville, where the groom is employed as a puddler in the mill. Morning Tribune, Altoona, Pa., Saturday, November 15, 1890
