A Wedding Which occurred in St. Luke's P. E. Church. In the presence of some 400 or 500 persons at 8 o'clock yesterday evening in St. Luke's Protestant Episcopal church, the rector, Rev. Allan Sheldon Woodle, said the solemn words which united, until "death doth them part," Mr. W. P. Lewis and Miss Zelda Powell. The groom is the cashier of the Armour wholesale meat plant in this city, and the bride is a native of Lewistown, although for the past six years she has resided in Altoona, making her home with her uncle and aunt, Mr. and Mrs. D. Trout, 916 Seventeenth street. The ceremony took place at 8 o'clock in the church. As the wedding party entered the edifice Mr. George Way, the organist, rendered the Lohengrin wedding march, and at the conclusion of the ceremony the organ pealed forth the notes of Mendelssohn's exquisite march. The attendants were Mr. Porter Lewis, a brother of the groom, and Miss Jessie Stiffler. The bride was given away by her uncle, Mr. D. Trout. She was dressed in a handsome blue silk, with silk and chiffon trimming and carried a bouquet of beautiful white roses. The bridesmaid was attired in moire with chiffon trimming and held in her hand a bouquet of yellow roses. The groom and his best man were attired in the conventional black. Outside of the immediate relatives present at the ceremony, residing in the city, were Mr. Walter Soultz, of Lewistown, brother-in-law of the bride, and Miss Annie E. Lewis, sister of the groom. For the present Mr. and Mrs. Lewis will board at the St. Lawrence hotel, but later will take up housekeeping in this city. The TRIBUNE extends congratulations.
