A very pretty home wedding took place at the home of Mr. and Mrs. R. S. Hoover, along the Logan Valley railroad, Thursday evening at 8, when their daughter, Miss Lettie Viola Hoover and Jacob E. Lynn, of Altoona, were united in the holy bonds of matrimony by Rev. B. H. Grove, pastor of the Church of God at Roaring Spring. The attendants were Miss F. Pearl Hoover, sister of the bride, and Mr. Lloyd Lynn, brother of the groom. After the ceremony a bountiful wedding supper was partaken of by about thirty of the immediate friends of the contracting parties. The bride has been one of Logan township's successful teachers for several years, and is held in high esteem by those who know her. The groom is employed by the P.R.R. in the shops in this city, and is an honorable young man. After a short wedding tour in the east, the young couple will reside with the bride's parents for the present. Altoona Mirror, Saturday, September 23, 1899, page 8
