MACFARLANE - CARVER.

  At the home of the bride's mother, 1515 Eleventh street, at 7 o'clock 
last evening, Mr. George R. MacFarlane and Miss Anna M. Carver were 
united in marriage.  Rev. J. W. Bain, pastor of the First Presbyterian 
church, officiated and the ceremony was performed in the presence of 
only a few of the immediate friends of the family.  The groom is an 
engineer on the Pittsburg division and has a host of friends.  His 
bride is an estimable young lady.  After returning from a brief tour in 
the east, the happy couple will go to housekeeping in this city.
