At the home of the bride's parents, 1014 Chestnut avenue, last evening at 8.30 o'clock, Mr. George R. MacFarlane and Miss Anna L. Clingerman were united in matrimony by Rev. J. S. James, pastor of the First Baptist church. The house was very prettily decorated with plants and flowers. The marriage vows were pronounced between the arch separating the parlors. Two little flower girls preceded the bridal couple. The two little ladies who were selected for this duty were Miss Katharine Burley and Miss Mary Hicks. They were dressed in white and carried white carnations and daisies. The bride wore a costume of French nainsook trimmed with vallenciennes lace and pearls. The ring ceremony was used. The guests who were the relatives and immediate friends of the bride and groom were tendered a reception, during which a delightful wedding dinner was served. Mr. and Mrs. MacFarlane left last night on a ten day's wedding journey to New York and the sea shore. They will go to housekeeping on their return at 1414 Tenth street. Miss Clingerman is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Clingerman. She was a successful teacher in the public schools of Altoona. She is a young lady who is endowed with all the qualities requisite to bring happiness to the husband she has chosen. The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. John MacFarlane.
