A pretty wedding was that of Mr. Thomas Griffith Magee and Miss Martha Catharine Major, solemnized at the First Baptist church last evening. The happy young couple attended by Mr. David Magee as best man, and Miss Mary Major, a sister of the bride, as bridesmaid, entered the church to the strains of Mendelssohn's wedding march rendered by Mrs. Dr. A. L. Spanogle. They advanced to the altar where Rev. J. S. James, D.D., performed the beautiful ring ceremony. At its conclusion Lohengrin's recessional was rendered and the newly married couple left the auditorium and entered the church parlor where they received the congratulations of the immediate relatives who were in attendance to witness the ceremony. Mr. Magee is a popular young man and is the proprietor of the Imperial cafe. The bride is the daughter of Mr. George Major, of 919 Green avenue, and is a very estimable young lady. She had been for several years bookkeeper at the Grand Union Tea company's store. She has a host of friends and received numerous handsome presents. Mr. and Mrs. Magee left on Philadelphia express to visit Philadelphia, New York and other eastern cities, and on their return will be at home to friends at 1105 Thirteenth street.
