Tuesday evening at 6.30 o'clock at the residence of the bride's parents, No. 2727 Thirteenth avenue, by Rev. E. D. Weigle, pastor of the First Lutheran church, Mr. Calvin E. Mitchell and Miss Minnie Hamel, third daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Alfred Hamel, were united in marriage in the presence of the immediate friends of the contracting parties. The attendants were Mr. Samuel C. Hite and Miss Hulda O. Mitchell, sister of the groom. Mr. Mitchell is an employe of the railroad company, being freight brakeman on the mountain. The lady who has accepted his hand and united her heart to his, is in every way suited to fill the place to which she has thus been elected. Mr. and Mitchell will go to housekeeping at once, in a house ready furnished, No. 2011 Ninth avenue. May their life be one long, uninterrupted period of happiness. Altoona Tribune, February 28, 1889
