Mock Married Yesterday at eleven o'clock, Miss Bessie Pearl Wertz, daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Jacob W. Wertz was united in marriage to Oliver Rush Mock, of Altoona. The beautiful ring ceremony of the Lutheran church was used. Promptly at the hour mentioned above the happy young couple took their places before Rev. E. M. Morgan in the south parlor of the Wertz home, corner of Twelfth street and Woodland avenue, who said the words that made them man and wife. The home was beautifully decorated with mock orange blossoms, peonies and roses, the color scheme being pink and white. The arch way between the reception room and parlor where the ceremony was performed was tastefully trimmed with white and pink laurel blossoms. The bride wore a gown of white Persian lawn trimmed in Val lace and carried a beautiful bouquet of white roses and carnations. She was attended by her sister, Miss Jeannetta Wertz as bridesmaid, the best man being John B. Hamor, of Altoona. While the bride and groom were taking their places before the altar and during the ceremony, the beautiful strains of Mendelssohn's wedding march were heard pealing throughout the home, played by Miss Sarah Wertz, another sister of the bride. After the ceremony the thirty guests sat down to an excellent wedding dinner after which the bride and groom departed on No. 15, due here at 2:22 for Pittsburg and points west, where they will spend their honeymoon. The bride is one of Tyrone's most excellent young ladies and is fully capable of making and taking care of a home. For a number of years she filled a clerkship position in her brother's grocery store and through her kind disposition she won the friendship of many. The groom has been employed as a conductor for a number of years by the Altoona and Logan Valley Electric Railway company and is known as one of the most efficient employees on the Tyrone division. After an extended wedding tour through western states, Mr. and Mrs. Mock will return to Altoona where they will go to house keeping in their newly furnished home at 2713 Seventh avenue. The Herald joins in with their many friends in wishing them a life filled with joy and happiness.
