The home of Colonel Metz, in the beautiful village of Williamsburg, was made festive on last Thursday, by the marriage of his daughter Miss Lucy to George A. Moser, of this city. The bride was attended by two or her dearest friends, Misses Patterson and Ellsworth, who performed their pleasant duties in an admirable manner, gracefully ushering the happy pair promptly on time into the presence of the friends, who stood waiting in the spacious parlor to witness the impressive ceremony as performed by his brother, Rev. D. M. Moser. After congratulations all had time to enjoy the floral decorations, which were profuse. Loving hands had been busy; festoons of evergreens and bouquets of cut flowers adorned every nook and corner, while in the foreground were artistically arranged plants of rare beauty, both in foliage and flowers as well as in delicate perfume. While in the midst of this "floral feast" the guests were summoned to the dining hall, and there burst upon their view a feast indeed. The tables "groaned" under the weight of substantials and dainties; all the luxuries of the season were there, and ample justice was done them. The bride was the recipient of many handsome gifts - silver and glassware, linen and wool - useful and ornamental. The happy hours passed all too soon. Train time came and the bridal party with a few friends came to this city, where they embarked for a trip to the Eastern cities. Many good wishes have followed them. Although the day was gloomy without, all was joy within. Morning Tribune, Altoona, Pa., Saturday, September 11, 1880 Married.
