Patterson, Esq., and Miss Margaret J. Hegarty. At 8 o'clock last evening, at the residence of the bride's mother, in the Sixth avenue extension, John K. Patterson, esq., and Miss Margaret Hegarty, were united in marriage by the Rev. J. E. Irvine, pastor of the Third Presbyterian church. There were present to witness the impressive ceremony an invited company of relatives and friends. The groom is a rising young lawyer and is president of the select branch of Altoona's councils. The bride is the estimable daughter of Mrs. Caroline Hegarty. Both are deserving of a future full of happiness. After the marriage ceremony had been completed and congratulations showered on the newly married couple, an excellently prepared supper was served. The bride was the recipient of many beautiful and costly presents. On eastern express Mr. and Mrs. Patterson departed on a tour of eastern cities. They will be tone two weeks.
