Those Which Have Taken Place Lately in Altoona. SEVERAL CONNUBIAL KNOTS TIED In All These Interesting Events All Went Off Happily and Now Several Hearts Beat as One. NAMES OF THE HAPPY PEOPLE PYLE - KUHN. At the residence of George W. Kuhn and wife, 715 First avenue, the home of the bride, at half-past 12 o'clock yesterday Mr. George Libely Pyle and Miss Effie Roberta Kuhn were happily joined in holy wedlock, the ceremony being performed by an uncle of the bride, Rev. D. R. P. Barry, of Pittsburg. Rev. J. F. Hartman, the bride's pastor, was not present on the occasion owing to his absence at the convention of the Allegheny synod, now in session at Stoyestown, of which body he is president. The bridegroom entered the room with his smiling bride at his side keeping step to the bridal march from Lohengren, which was rendered by Miss Linda Hooper. As the happy pair arrived at a point indicated by a floral arch, they halted while the strains of sweet music ceased and quiet fell upon all assembled. The beautiful and impressive ceremony, closing with the ring service was pronounced and two happy were made one, after which the divine blessing was invoked upon all. The bride was attired in a bridal robe of white organdie trimmed in Valenciene lace and ribbon, bearing in her hand a bouquet of bride's roses. The groom wore the conventional black. Congratulations ended, dinner was announced, and of the rich and delicious viands 101 guests partook, amid a steady flow of merry voices ringing with the melody of happy hearts. The gifts were many and consisted of rich and costly silverware, china and cut glass, etc., added to which were articles of furniture. The hour of 3 p.m. having arrived the happy couple entered a cab and amid showers of rice and waving handkerchiefs departed for the depot, where they boarded Pittsburg express, for a somewhat extended trip to the west.
