MARRIED IN NEW YORK STATE.

  The following notice of a recent marriage is taken from the 
Wilkesbarre Record of October 21:
  "On Oneonta, N.Y., on Wednesday, October 18, at the home of the 
presiding elder, Rev. T. F. Hall, Miss Mary E. Myers, youngest daughter 
of John H. Myers, of Altoona, and William A. Ratchford, of West 
Nanticoke, were united in marriage by Rev. E. B. Singer.  The bride was 
attired in a handsome traveling gown of blue cloth and made a fine 
appearance.  After the wedding breakfast Mr. and Mrs. Ratchford started 
for an extended wedding tour through the New England states.  Mrs. 
Ratchford, who for three years made her home with her brother, Dr. N. 
Ray Myers, now of Priceburg, has many friends in this city, having 
visited here the past two summers.  The groom is a trusted employe of 
the Pennsylvania Railroad company, and is one of Nanticoke's esteemed 
young men.  Mr. and Mrs. Ratchford will reside in West Nanticoke."
