The Philadelphia Bulletin gives the following interesting information concerning a coming matrimonial event: "The engagement of Mr. Sterling L. Rhoades, of Philadelphia, and Margaret Clyde Elliott, of Hollidaysburg, is announced. Mr. Rhoades is the son of Isaac P. Rhoades, of Trappe, and spent his boyhood in this neighborhood, where he has many friends. By devotion to duty, fidelity and ability, he has advanced himself in life until now he occupies the responsible position of claim adjuster of that great corporation, the Union Traction company, of Philadelphia, in which matters involving immense sums of money are submitted to his judgment. This position brings him into contact with the highest lawyers in the city, by whom he is held in high esteem, not only for his great ability, but for his courtesy and fairness, while always so scrupulously protecting the interests of the company he represents. Miss Elliott belongs to one of the oldest and best known families of central Pennsylvania." Morning Tribune, Friday, December 22, 1899
