At 12 o'clock, noon, Wednesday, May 29, at the residence of Mr. and Mrs. Samuel L. Haffley a short distance southeast of town, Homer Irvin Ritchey and Miss Ada Jane Leidy were united in marriage in the presence of over fifty invited guests. Rev. Samuel Moody, pastor of the Presbyterian church afficiated [sic]. The couple were attended by James Ritchey, brother of the groom, and Miss Maggie Glass. Immediately after congratulations a sumptuous wedding dinner was served. The happy couple left on the 4:09 p.m. train on a honeymoon trip to Washington, D. C. They were showered with rice and were victims of many other pranks played by their well wishing friends who wish them a long and happy matrimonial life. The groom is an excellent young man, and employe of the Pennsylvania railroad company. Mrs. Ritchey, the bride, is an amiable young lady. Both are very popular young people.
