CARL ROTH Miss Ferguson Becomes Bride Miss Ethel A. Ferguson, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Frank M. Ferguson of 528 East Hudson avenue, and Carl Roth, son of Mr. and Mrs. John H. Roth of 208 Fifth street, were united in marriage on Saturday afternoon, July 3, at 4 o'clock in the Second Evangelical United Brethren church. Rev. Max Hauser officiated at the ceremony. The church was beautifully decorated with white tapers and candelabra and the altar was decked with fern, gladioli and mixed flowers. Preceding the ceremony Mrs. Shope, organist, played a variety of melodies and Mrs. Joan Grissinger sang "Because" and, as the couple knelt at the altar, "The Lord's Prayer." The bride, given in marriage by her father, wore a street-length dress of white crepe and a starched white lace hat with lace veiling. She carried a satin Bible with white carnations and showers of baby's breath tied with satin ribbon. The matron of honor was Mrs. Jean Seidel, sister of the bride, attired in a rose crepe street-length dress with matching hat and a corsage of pink and white carnations. The best man was John G. Roth, brother of the bridegroom and the ushers were Edward and Clair Ferguson, brothers of the bride. The mother of the bride wore a blue and white sheer dress with white accessories and a corsage of pink roses. The mother of the bridegroom wore a dress of light gray with white accessories and a pink rose corsage. Following the ceremony a reception was held at the home of the bride with approximately 75 guests in attendance. Out of town guests were Mrs. William Landis, Miss Hulda Landis and Mrs. Harry Fogleman of Port Royal and Mifflin, Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Lenderman and son and Mr. and Mrs. William Davey of Harrisburg and Mr. and Mrs. William Foster of Philadelphia. Mr. and Mrs. Roth left on a wedding trip to Niagara Falls and Canada. For the present they will reside at the home of the bridegroom, 208 Fifth street. Mrs. Roth is employed at the Blair Shirt factory and Mr. Roth is employed at the Brumbaugh Body company.
