FROM SINKING VALLEY.

  The coming week will close the single blessedness of two of our young 
people.  Whole Webbs of silk and calico will be Russled over and some 
reverend will be the recipient of a V or an X.  Man was never made to live 
alone, neither was a woman, and just the reason why some persons go contrary 
to the Scriptural injunctions - by being old bachelors and old maids - we 
could never discover.  But Alfred Russel and Mollie Webb will act the wise 
part, and we say joy without bound attend them.
