Russell and Miss Edythe Belle Swayne Become Man and Wife. Thursday evening at the Presbyterian parsonage at Philipsburg, Rev. H. F. Means united in marriage George W. Russell and Miss Edythe Belle Swayne, both of Tyrone. The newly wedded couple came to Tyrone last evening and were tendered a pleasant reception at the groom's home, 1430 Bald Eagle avenue. About thirty guests were present at the gathering, and an enjoyable time was spent by all. Today Mr. and Mrs. Russell left for the bride's former home at Shirleysburg where they will be the leading figures in another reception in their honor in the evening. After spending a few days at Shirleysburg they will return to Tyrone where they will take up housekeeping. The groom, who is a son of Emanuel Russell, of Tyrone, is a most estimable young man, and holds a lucrative and responsible position in the Morrison & Cass paper mill of Tyrone. The bride is a daughter of George Swayne, of Shirleysburg, Huntingdon county, but for about four years she has been living in Tyrone. Both parties are well and favorably known. The Herald joins their large circle of friends in wishing them joy and prosperity. Tyrone Daily Herald, Saturday, March 17, 1900
