Russell and Miss Ida S. Whitbred were married last evening, at the home of the bride, 3014 Fifth avenue, Rev. E. J. Metzler tying the nuptial knot. The ceremony was performed in the parlor, which was beautifully decorated with plants and flowers, in the presence of the immediate relatives and friends of the contracting parties. After the newly-married couple had been congratulated, all sat down to an elegant wedding supper. Mr. Russell is employed as a pattern maker by the Pennsylvania railroad company. His bride is in every way qualified to assume her new position. They will go to housekeeping at once on Union avenue and Twenty - fourth street. Altoona Mirror, Thursday, September 7, 1899, page 8
