Sabathne, son of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Sabathne, of 708 Eighth avenue, and Miss Regina M. Shaffer, daughter of Mrs. Laura J. Shaffer, of 1410 Seventeenth avenue, were united in the holy bonds of wedlock yesterday morning at 7 o'clock, at a nuptial mass at St. John's Roman Catholic church, Rev. Father Morgan M. Sheedy, rector, officiating. The attendants were Mr. Leo T. Herbert, and Miss Edna Shaffer, a sister of the bride. After the wedding ceremony a reception was tendered the newlyweds at the home of the groom, some forty invited guests participating. Miss Casey, an accomplished pianist, was accompanied at the piano by Miss Moore, whose vocal selections pleased all. Immediately after an hour of social diversions, the assembled guests repaired to the dining room where a sumptuous repast was thoroughly enjoyed. The bride is an accomplished and popular young lady, and enjoys a wide acquaintance among the young folks of this city. The bridegroom has been affiliated with his father in the tinning business at 708 Eighth avenue, and is an ambitious and obliging young man. After the wedding trip to include points of interest in the east, Mr. and Mrs. Sabathne will be home to friends in this city. Their matrimonial bark will be heavily freighted with the very best wishes of a host of admiring friends. Altoona Tribune, Altoona, Pa., Thursday Morning, February 1, 1917
