Mr. and Mrs. Henry Meyer, of this city, announce the approaching marriage of their daughter, Miss Gertrude Harriotte Frances, to Mr. D. Monroe Schum, of this city. The nuptials will be solemnized the afternoon of February 8, 1917, directly after which the happy couple will leave for Pittsburg, where they will make their future home. Mr. David Monroe Schum, of Pittsburg, and Miss Gertrude Harriet Frances Meyer, of Altoona, were united in marriage at 3 o'clock yesterday afternoon by Rev. T. P. Orner, at his home, 2425 Eighth avenue with the ring ceremony. They were attended by Miss Edith Meyer, a sister of the bride and Mr. H. S. Selwitz. The groom is a son of Mr. and Mrs. Harry Schum, of 1005 Fifth avenue, and is employed as a machinist in Pittsburg. The bride is a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Albert H.
