Grace Methodist Episcopal church was the scene of a beautiful wedding on Saturday evening at 8 o'clock, when Miss Lilly Mae Westover became the wife of Mr. Gilbert Haven Sharer. The marriage was solemnized by the Rev. D. D. Kauffman, pastor of both contracting parties. The ring ceremony was used. They were accompanied by Mr. C. E. Morse, and Miss Elizabeth R. Kunsman, Mr. Jesse E. Westover, brother of the bride, presided at the pipe organ. The immediate relatives and a number of invited guests witnessed the ceremony. At the conclusion of the ceremony a reception was held and a wedding dinner served at the bride's home. The bride was beautifully gowned in white Georgette and wore a corsage bouquet of Killarney roses. The bridegroom wore his military uniform. Mrs. Sharer is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. E. Westover, of 431 Cherry avenue, and has been employed as stenographer in the office of Attorney J. Oscar Sullivan, and is also a notary public. She is one of Altoona's most attractive young women and is deeply interested in the social and religious life of the church. Mr. Sharer is the son of Mr. and Mrs. J. J. Sharer, of 108 Willow avenue, was formerly employed by the P.R.R. company as machinist in the shops here, but at present he is an enlisted man in the army and is doing special work in the ammunition plant at Butler, Pa.
