SHOEMAKER [photo] Mr. and Mrs. Fido Parascak of Bellwood announce the marriage of their daughter, Sophie, to M. Sgt. William E. Shoemaker, son of Dr. and Mrs. Edward C. Shoemaker of 1103 Logan avenue, Tyrone, on Saturday morning, June 3, at 10 o'clock in St. Joseph's Catholic church of Bellwood. Rev. Father Edward McConnell officiated at a double ring ceremony. The church altar was beautifully decorated with white snapdragons, peonies and ferns. Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a white organdie gown with a sweetheart neckline edged in lace. Her fingertip veil was held by a tiara of beaded pearls. She carried a bouquet of white roses. Mrs. Mary Buda, sister of the bride, served as matron of honor and was attired in a poudre blue gown, and a matching tiara. She carried a bouquet of red roses. Miss Mary Pasiowaych, friend of the bride, served as maid of honor, was attired in poudre blue gown and a matching tiara. She carried a bouquet of red roses also. The best man was Harry Shoemaker, brother of the bridegroom. The usher was Joseph Adamczyk. The mother of the bride wore a white and black dress with black accessories and a corsage of gardenias. The bridegroom's mother wore a green print dress with black accessories and a corsage of white gardenias. Following the ceremony a reception was held at the home of the bride for approximately 40 guests including the wedding party and the immediate families, The table was decorated with a large four-tier wedding cake topped with a miniature bride and bridegroom. The bride's gift to her attendants was a cameo necklace and earrings to match. The bridegroom's gift to the hest man was an Eversharp pen and pencil set and to the usher a Ronson lighter.
